Bookings & Cancellation Policy

Private Lessons

We understand that plans can change, and we'll always do our best to accommodate genuine unforeseen circumstances. As every lesson is reserved exclusively for you, we kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange your booking. Cancellations made more than 7 days before your scheduled lesson incur no charge. Cancellations made between 48 hours and 7 days before the lesson are subject to a £15 administration fee per lesson. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice are charged at the full lesson fee, as it is unlikely that we will be able to offer that appointment to another student at such short notice. This policy applies to all private lessons, including wedding dance tuition. While our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our students and our teaching team, exceptional circumstances may be considered at Skyline Ballroom Club's discretion.

Studio Hire & Floor Sharing

We are pleased to make our studio available to fellow dance professionals and organisations, subject to availability and these Terms & Conditions.

Studio hire bookings made directly with Skyline Ballroom Club may be cancelled by the hirer at any time without a cancellation fee.

In exceptional circumstances, Skyline Ballroom Club reserves the right to refuse, amend, cancel or terminate a studio hire booking, in whole or in part, where we reasonably believe that:

  • the proposed activity may adversely affect the reputation of Skyline Ballroom Club or the studio;

  • the behaviour of the hirer or any participants is inappropriate, unsafe, abusive or likely to cause disruption;

  • the activity breaches, or is likely to breach, any fire regulations, health and safety requirements, safeguarding policies or applicable legislation;

  • the activity presents a risk to the safety, wellbeing or property of our staff, students, visitors or members of the public.

Any amendment, cancellation or termination under these circumstances shall not affect Skyline Ballroom Club's right to recover any outstanding payments or to take appropriate action in the event of a breach of these Terms & Conditions.

Classes

Tuesday Technique Class

To secure your place, all students are kindly asked to book and pay for the class in advance through our online booking system. While our studio can comfortably accommodate varying class sizes, advance booking helps us plan each session effectively and maintain the highest quality of teaching. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bookings for the Tuesday Technique Class are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible. This policy allows us to plan and deliver each class effectively while ensuring fairness to all participants. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Occasionally, it may be necessary to make changes to the class schedule, including the teacher, venue or class time, in order to operate our sessions effectively. Where possible, we will provide advance notice through our website timetable, WhatsApp group or other usual communication channels.

If Skyline Ballroom Club needs to cancel a class, participants will be offered either a replacement class, class credit or a full refund, where appropriate.

Children's Classes

Membership & Joining the Programme

Our Children's Ballroom Programme operates on a monthly membership basis, providing children with a consistent and structured learning experience throughout the year. Membership reserves your child's place within the class and continues until cancelled in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

Classes run throughout the year, including most school holidays, with the exception of our annual Christmas break and a summer break during August. Monthly membership fees remain the same throughout the year, allowing the annual tuition cost to be spread evenly across twelve monthly payments. Membership fees are payable monthly in advance and reserve your child's place within the programme, regardless of attendance. Fees are not calculated on a per-class basis.

We regularly welcome new dancers throughout the year, with our main intake periods taking place in September, January and April. Every new child is invited to attend a complimentary trial session before joining the programme.

Where appropriate, children may also join outside these intake periods if, in our opinion, they are able to integrate comfortably into the existing class.

Missed Classes & Changes to Classes

If your child is unable to attend a class, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible.

As membership reserves your child's place within the programme rather than payment for individual lessons, missed classes cannot be refunded, transferred or carried forward.

From time to time it may be necessary to make reasonable changes to the class timetable, venue, teacher or teaching programme in order to operate our classes effectively. Where possible, we will always provide advance notice through our usual communication channels. If Skyline Ballroom Club is unable to deliver a scheduled class, we will arrange a suitable replacement session or, where appropriate, provide a credit or refund.

Cancelling Your Membership

Membership may be cancelled at any time by providing one full calendar month's written notice.

Membership fees remain payable throughout the notice period.

Parents & Guardians Notice

Parents or guardians remain responsible for their children before the class begins and immediately after it finishes. Please ensure that emergency contact details are kept up to date and that any relevant medical conditions or additional needs are communicated to us before your child attends.

Photography & Video

From time to time photographs or videos may be taken during classes, performances and events to celebrate our dancers and promote Skyline Ballroom Club.

If you would prefer your child not to appear in photographs or promotional material, please let us know and we will always respect your wishes.

Our Commitment

Our aim is to provide a positive, supportive and inclusive environment where every child can grow in confidence, develop lifelong skills and enjoy the journey of ballroom dancing. We ask all students and families to treat fellow dancers, parents, teachers and venues with kindness and respect so that everyone can enjoy being part of the Skyline Ballroom Club community.

Adult Beginner & Improver Courses

Adult Courses

Booking

Our adult classes are delivered as structured courses designed to help students progress together in a supportive and enjoyable environment. Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Full payment is required before the start of the course to secure your place, with bookings accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Trial Session

Where offered, a complimentary trial session allows prospective students to experience the class before committing to the full course. Attendance at a trial session does not reserve a place on the course, and booking is required as spaces are limited.

Course Attendance

Each course is carefully planned to build progressively from week to week. While we understand that occasional absences are unavoidable, missed classes cannot be refunded, transferred or carried forward, and replacement lessons are not provided.

Cancellations & Refunds & Changes to the Course

As places are reserved specifically for each participant and course numbers are planned in advance, all course bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable once confirmed. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If Skyline Ballroom Club is unable to run a course due to insufficient enrolment or circumstances beyond our control, participants will be offered a full refund or, where appropriate, the opportunity to transfer to the next available course.

On rare occasions, it may be necessary to make reasonable changes to the course timetable, venue, teacher or content to ensure the smooth running of our programme. Wherever possible, we will provide advance notice through our usual communication channels.

Such changes do not constitute a breach of contract and do not entitle participants to cancel their booking or request a refund.

Our Commitment

Our courses are designed to provide a welcoming, supportive and enjoyable environment where every dancer can develop confidence, learn at their own pace and enjoy the journey of ballroom dancing. We ask all participants to treat fellow students, teachers and venues with courtesy and respect, helping us create a positive experience for everyone.

Workshops & Other Events

Bookings and Payment

Tickets must be requested in advance and paid for within 14 days of booking, and no later than 14 days before the event, unless the organisers confirm otherwise. Where payment is not completed within the stated timeframe, the booking may be released without further notice.

All event bookings are payable in advance. Physical tickets are not normally issued; once payment has been received, the attendee’s name will be added to the guest list.

Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a different Skyline Ballroom Club event. However, you may transfer your place to another person by notifying us at least 48 hours before the event. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Payment may be made using the agreed booking method or by bank transfer.

Studio Etiquette

We want everyone to enjoy a safe, welcoming and professional dance environment. Please use the designated changing areas, keep the studio tidy and clean up any spillages promptly. Food with a strong smell should not be brought into the studio, and alcohol is not permitted on the premises.

Dance shoes must be clean, and heel protectors must be worn with narrow or high heels where required. Please do not apply French chalk, talcum powder, oil or any similar substance to dance shoes, as this can make the floor unsafe and may breach the venue’s rules and insurance requirements.

Please ask permission from everyone who may appear in a photograph or video before recording or sharing it publicly. Professional and respectful boundaries must be maintained between teachers, students and other attendees at all times.

Health, Safety and Participation

Dance is a physical activity and, as with any form of exercise, carries an inherent risk of injury. By attending a lesson, class, workshop, rehearsal, performance or event, participants confirm that they are physically able to take part and accept responsibility for working within their own abilities.

Please inform the teacher before participating if you or your child has an injury, medical condition, pregnancy, disability or other circumstance that may affect safe participation. Participants should stop immediately and seek appropriate advice if they feel pain, dizziness or unusual discomfort.

Skyline Ballroom Club, its teachers, assistants and guest professionals will take reasonable care when delivering activities. However, participants remain responsible for their own actions, belongings and personal limitations. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. UK consumer contract terms must be fair, and liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence cannot simply be excluded.

Where a participant is under 18, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have authority to agree to these participation terms on the child’s behalf.

Photography and Promotional Use

Skyline Ballroom Club may occasionally take photographs or videos during classes and events. Images used for official promotional purposes will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Photographs and videos will only be used for promotional purposes where the participant, parent or legal guardian has provided separate permission. You may withdraw this permission at any time by contacting Skyline Ballroom Club in writing.

Liability Waiver

I (the "Client") understand and agree that in participating in any dance class, workshop, rehearsal or performance, whether in the studio or online, physical injury is possible. I voluntarily agree, therefore, to assume all risks and responsibility for any such injury or accident, that might occur to me or my child during any dance classes provided by Tomasz Wezykowski or/and Iaroslava Perederii (this includes but is not limited to classes, rehearsals, performances, or activities). I also exempt, release, and indemnify Tomasz Wezykowski and Iaroslava Perederii, their guest teachers (in the event of a workshop or joint floor hire/session) and/or any students from any liability claims, demands, or causes of action whatsoever from any damage, loss, or injury, to me, my children, or property which may arise out of or in connection with participation in any classes or activities conducted Tomasz Wezykowski and Iaroslava Perederii. I further hereby voluntarily agree to waive my rights and that of my heirs and assigns to hold Tomasz Wezykowski and/or Iaroslava Perederii, class volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists and/or students liable for such damage, loss, or injury. I understand that I should be aware of my physical limitations and agree not to exceed them. If I am signing this waiver for my children, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and have the right to waive these rights.

Permission is granted to Tomasz Wezykowski and Iaroslava Perederii to use photographs of students for publicity purposes.
