Can I sign up if i don't have a partner?

Yes, you can! We welcome both solo and couples. But we cannot guarantee equal numbers of participants.

We do practice partner rotations. Years of experience have shown benefits both for dancing and socialising purposes.

What is the dress code for classes and lessons?

Ballroom dancing is an elegant affair. We encourage our students to wear casual and comfortable clothes. For more advanced levels it is advisable for the lady to wear a ballroom practice dress or skirt and for the gentleman to invest into dance trousers and a shirt.

Ballroom shoes are advisable. Casual or elegant shoes are acceptable for beginners-  but nothing too heavy. In order to protect the floor we kindly ask you to change the shoes if they are too dusty or wet after the rain.

Where can I find the dance music to practice?

Our instructors will be able to recommend suitable links and sources for the dance music. But you cannot go wrong with any tracks from the Empress Orchestra , Len Phillips or Ross Mitchell orchestras that can be found on Spotify or ITunes.
