<...It's so good to compete in competitions. It tests your prowess as a dancer and your confidence. Tomasz is a lovely dancer and encourages you with a relaxed and friendly persona. Putting on a lovely dress makes me feel elegant ! ...>

ProAM is the name for a competition format in which a professional dances with an amateur.

Usually this is a teacher dancing with their student. The teacher and student are judged together as a couple. This is a very popular format internationally and ProAm couples reach the highest levels of ballroom dancing.

There is also a teacher/student category in which the teacher dances with the student but only the student is judged.

Pro-Am and T&S competitions require more intensive individual preparation, as the categories demand a greater understanding of the technique and artistry of ballroom dancing.

Besides developing technical aspects of ballroom dance, we understand how important the looks are. We run hairstyle workshops with top class specialists in the ballroom field, work with an amazing team of tailors, accessories companies, make up artists and photographers to achieve both great visual effect on the dance floor, bring out the personality of each individual student and create life long memories.

If you feel the world of ladies in glamorous dresses and perfect gentlemen in elegant tails, sophisticated music and shoes shining with crystals is something  you may want to experience, please get in touch!

We would like to take this opportunity to share with you an initiative we are closely involved in creating - the Pro-Am Dance Committee(PADC). The PADC are a collective of competition organisers, Pro-Am & Teacher-Student competitors and their teachers with a common goal to ensure we all have the chance to share our love for dance in the most positive way possible.

Core values

Transparency – Open discussion on matters affecting the structure of events aimed at Pro-Am & Teacher-Student competitors.

Respect & Courtesy – Treating each other with mutual respect, even when opinions and perspectives may differ and to always be courteous to one another.

Inclusive Community - An inclusive collective of members from a diverse range of lived experiences and backgrounds, offering different perspectives, and who believe in giving everyone a fair opportunity in competitive dancing.

Teamwork & Support – Organisers, competitors and teachers alike working together, respecting each other’s varied skill sets and supporting each other to create successful outcomes and positive relationships.

Learning & Humility – We are all here to learn and develop our dancing, but also how we plan and structure events. It is expected that a little trial and error will occur, especially if we are trying something new and understanding that a perfect solution to issues either in the past or future is not the expectation. An understanding that compromises may be made where necessary.

Joy & Love for Dance! – Perhaps the most important value is that we are a collective here to share our love and enjoyment for dancing. Joy and fun should be the foundation for all we try to achieve through this collective.
